Our friend Export is tired of the bar scene and has moved into his own place. To check it out his swanky new digs, look down at the bottom of your notebook and click the Export link.
That will take you straight there.
Most of these exports are old friends, but what's that sneaky ATOM thing at the bottom? It's a way to export your notebook and import back again. Just head over to the Manage Notebooks page and bring it right back.
What good is this? Well first of all, the export is an ATOM-formatted document, so you can edit it to your heart's content. You can back your notebooks up, or hax0r on them, or write converters to get data into Google Notebook from other sources. Most importantly, though, we believe that you put your notebooks there, they belong to you, and now you can take them back. They're your notes: do whatever you want with them!

I still need to be able to Export directly to a Word file to archive it offline, when will this be available? Right now I Export 20 or so Notebooks to Google Docs then download them. Could we have (1) Export to a Document; or (2) the ability to have Notebooks present in a special folder in Google Docs to download them directly.
I don't see the Reader or RSS options in Notebook that are referenced here in my notebooks. Any reason why?
I greatly appreciate the Atom Export / Import concept, and the notebooks "belong to you" principle. This will be great for public notebooks.
Could you add some offline replication or export/import for private notebooks, so they too "belong to you"?
I'm in the process of migrating from OneNote to Google Notebooks.
A few future wishes...
1. GOOGLE needs a task program to round out the offerings.
2. The programs need to integrate better to each other. Sending an email from GMAIL to NOTEBOOK for example.
3. Add Attachments to NOTEBOOK.
4. More BLACKBERRY programs.

there shud be some feature to take a backup of my whole Google Notebooks, i mean all the notebooks in my account, and download it for offline viewing. Also along with export, we can also have an import option in some predefined format. A simple Desktop application is also a good idea for Google Notebook
